Waterproof jackets of outdoor brand K2 for which actor Hyun Bin is the endorsement model for, has seen its sales sky rocket, and seen him labelled by the company as a ‘sales champion’.
K2 revealed, “Our new waterproof jacket (blue) has only been on the market for less than 2 months, but we are almost out of stocks for it. Hyun Bin had previously worn it to a K2 ‘Fly Walk’ event, and it was labelled as a ‘Hyun Bin waterproof jacket’ after that.
The jacket is made up of special materials that makes it waterproof and permeable. The waterproof ability also allows moisture that has gathered to be quickly dissipated out. Each jacket is tailor stitched, and is ideal for active movement, and thus a top choice for outdoor sports enthusiasts.
The K2 marketing team leader said, “Consumers have a desire to buy good outdoor products that offer functional features and yet look trendy. Our company will continue to listen to what consumers want, and do our best to do even better than our last product.”

Ha Ji Won dressed up like a man and went to her enemy so that she wouldn’t become a court maid.
On the first episode of MBC Monday/Tuesday drama “Empress Qi,” Qi Seung Nyang (played by Ha Ji Won)’s childhood scenes were portrayed.
Shen Seung Nyang was being sold with her mother as a court maid, the young prince Wang Yu (played by Ju Jin Mo) felt badly about them and let all the court maids go free from prison.
Dang Ki Se (played by Kim Jung Hyun) who was chasing after the court maid started to shoot arrows mercilessly and Seung Nyang’s mother gets killed after being hit by one.
Before Seung Nyang’s mother dies, she gives a ring to her and said, “Your birth father is alive. Go to Kae Song and look for a person with the last name Qi who has the same ring.”
However, loking for the birth father wasn’t easy and Seung Nyang was hit by Wang Ko (played by Lee Jae Yong)’s horse by accident. Here, Seung Nyang’s identity as a woman was reveleased and she was about to be sent into the court as a court maid. Here, she dressed like a man and said to Wang Ko, “Please take me in.”
Afterwards, Seung Nyang showed her martial arts skills and shot arrows to be a servant of wang Ko and viewers who watched this were surprised by her perfect shooting skills and her cold charisma.

ACTRESS Ha Ji-won is famed for portraying strong, independent heroines that run the gamut of modern-day boxer and national ping-pong athlete to Joseon-period detective. Her latest role is no exception.
After winning audiences over as an a**-kicking stuntwoman in the hit TV series Secret Garden, Ha is returning as a history-making ruler-to-be in MBC’s The Empress Ki.
“I really like historical romances,” Ha, 35, said at the drama’s press conference in Seoul on Thursday. “When I starred in my first period piece, Damo, we filmed in very beautiful spots throughout Korea and I was able to enjoy the pleasure of being on set and gazing at the stars at night.”
This time around, Ha tackles a fiction-meets-fact rendering of the life of Oljei Khutugh (1315-1370), a Goryeo Kingdom native who rose from her fate as a concubine of the Yuan, or Mongol, Dynasty to the throne.
Of her latest role, Ha said: “I was utterly taken by such an active character.”
Indeed, the rags-to-riches tale serves as a compelling foundation for the upcoming series, which promises to showcase plenty of high-flying action from Ha’s heroine. (The show starts airing in South Korea on Mondays and Tuesdays from next week.)
At the press event, co-scriptwriter Jung Kyung-soon revealed that while the inspiration for the drama came from Empress Qi, creative liberties were taken with the heroine, whose name, Gi Seung-nyang, is also fictional.
Gabi actor Joo Jin-mo, who is returning to Korean dramas after a near-four-year hiatus, will be starring opposite Ha as fictional hero Wang Yoo.
During the early stages of development, Joo was initially slated to play a historical Goryeo king, but controversy over fictional liberties being taken with the figure resulted in the decision to nix the initial hero for a fictional Goryeo king instead.
Joo, who played a Goryeo king in the film A Frozen Flower, revealed: “I am working hard to bring my character to life as scripted.
“This time, my hero initially mistakes Ha’s heroine for a boy and then discovers she is a woman,” Joo, 39, said of his latest turn as yet another Goryeo monarch.
“He falls deeply and happily in love with her,” said Joo, hinting at plenty of romance to come between his hero and Ha’s heroine in the new drama. –
